Hi there, how are all of you doing? I know, I am back after some silence!! Was just busy with family over from India and Canada. And then had this ‘blog new look’ and ‘new address’ project going on!! Please guys, don’t forget to tell me how does the new look suit us?? All suggestions/advice is welcome. And please don’t forget to click on the subscribe button right here, so that you don’t miss out on any of the blog postings 🙂
OK, so as you can see in the subject of this post, I have been all over the place with the project of booking us a HOLIDAY! And you know what, ‘HOLIDAY PLANNING’ is a huge tiring task in itself, and when there are straight instructions (I know that’s a strong word, but I gotta use it today), yes instructions from HUBBY that he doesn’t want to go for a BEACH HOLIDAY (I know, how boring !! ;)).
And for a beach lover like me, it’s even harder to actually think of any non-beach holiday destination (especially when you are in this part of Asia, and you have such awesome, serene, green blue beaches in every direction that you want to head on to).
So, with the Easter Holidays approaching (I know we are already super late with our bookings), the little girl in the house seems very very excited about all the holiday talks going on around her, and she’s the only one who is not discussing or planning, she just wants to be out and have an awesome time. Sometimes, I really wish that I could run back into my childhood when everything was taken care of superbly by the parents (and the holidays were superbly planned as well) and you had not even a single worry except maybe waking up early to be out of the house at 6 am, so that everyone could reach some hill-station before it got really hot (people who’ve lived in North India like me, would relate to this completely- as majorly our holidays were during the summer vacations i.e. during May-June, when the North Indian Plains were super duper hot, and places like Shimla and Mussoorie were the go to vacations spots).
Well, times have changed now and the kids love to be at the green blue beaches just like the parents do ;). The mind-boggling options that I have around me are making me more confused than ever. And yes, there are some options for non-beach places as well including Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei (and many more). The history and culture of each and every place excites me so much. As whatever you feel and say, this part of the world does remind me of my homeland India in so many ways, be it the warmth of traditions and culture, the heritage, belief in religion, temples etc. So it makes me so interested in getting to the roots of the place that is to be visited. Now, I am sure you can well understand my pain and from the feel of it, its going to be a super hard decision (if we are able to take it and this debate does come to an end).
All suggestions are welcome for this home debate topic as well 😉
Until next time!! Chao’
