Ok, so we are past the lover’s week and that special Valentine’s Day. But still, I am in a mood to touch that topic called LOVE. I know there are two schools of thought about that whole valentines buzz, some follow it and some don’t. For me, well I am a self-proclaimed romantic. I love flowers, chocolates, candlelit dinners and all that jazz. For me it is not about celebrating love on that particular day, but it is one more special day to be happy about being in love and making the other person feel loved.
So this Valentine’s, I was on my own with hubby dear traveling and what made my day special was a movie. Yes, you read that right. I watched an old romantic movie and it just made me oh so starry eyed! I watched ‘The Notebook’ and I really don’t know why it took me so long to get my hands on the movie. I had heard so much about it!! So, I knew that with such high expectations, the movie would just be a big disappointment. But to tell you the truth, it was just sheer opposite and I think it is my ‘most’ favorite romantic movies of all times.
It talks about hidden meanings of love. Such stories seem too good to be true, but they do make you dream. They make you have faith (not a normal emotion these days, so its good to feel it once in a while even if it is for a short time 🙂 ) and they truly want you to believe in love. This movie is actually like a ‘love lesson’ and is based on a book by ‘Nicholas Sparks’ (for the people who didn’t already know that 🙂 ). I wish I had read the book beforehand (I am still going to read it though!! Who cares that I already know the end and all 😉 ). But it really teaches you some things very important like
- there is no age limit for being in love,
- it might take some time to realize that it is what you want
- true love does come back and all
So for the people who haven’t experienced love yet, there’s still hope for you guys!!
Yes, the movie was like a beautiful dream. So, if you still have not watched this one, please go-ahead and do so and you can thank me later. (People who are not too much into romance and are too much into reality can give it a miss!!)
I am sure most of you out there have your own favorite love stories. Don’t forget to share 🙂
